In collaboration with the Fred Hollows Foundation, CHEF International success- fully executed a project aimed at providing free cataract surgery support to mar- ginalized communities in Khyber-Pakh- tunkhwa. Operating under the project title "National Sight Restoration Project," the organization meticulously screened 13,243 patients and conducted 1,312 free cataract surgeries, resulting in an impressive 86% good visual outcome. Additionally, the project addressed the needs of 68 individuals with other disabilities requiring surgery for dense cataracts in their eyes. Highlighting key accomplishments from May 2023 to December 2023, CHEF International expresses deep gratitude to The Fred Hollows Foundation for their generous support, instrumental in achieving our set targets. This collaborative effort underscores our commitment to enhancing eye care accessibility for vulnerable communities.
